To be PC or not PC, that is the question!  ; )

Lately it seems that so many folks are jumping on the “politically correct” bandwagon regarding certain “hot topics” in our society.  Many will follow the PC crowd down paths that are full of potholes and dangerous pitfalls, simply because they lack the knowledge and/or courage to take a stand for Truth…and many will follow simply because they fear standing out.

However, it is far better to be Biblically correct than politically correct.

“For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.”
1 Corinthians 1:25

What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?
Mark 8:36

The "politicians" (and/or your favorite celebrities…
whoever it is you follow)
may or may not know your name nor even
care a whit about what makes you “you”...
but God not only knows you…He knows ALL about you…
and He also cares deeply...sacrificially...about you.

The Christ who laid His life down for yours said:
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.  Rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell.  Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?  Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
So don’t be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows.
Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.  But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.”
Matthew 10:28-33

I saw a video blog* of an atheist who was talking about being approached by a man who wanted to give him a Bible.  The atheist was clearly moved by the man’s gesture and kind words…because the man was genuine and sincere and showed real caring for him.  The atheists shared his opinion that while he did not believe there is a God, he felt that if someone does…they SHOULD be reaching out and sharing what they know.  If we truly believe the teachings of scripture and that people who do not find refuge in the Salvation provided to us through Christ’s sacrifice…then it’s worth the risk of possibly offending someone.  What kind of love do we have for our fellow man if we see them dancing their way down a path to destruction and yet not say a word to correct them?  Many will not listen, this is true…but some will…and for those few…we need to have courage.

It’s so much more important to be honest
and share the Truth we have learned
than it is to be “politically correct.”

People’s lives (definitely spiritual…sometimes physical) are at stake!
