This thought struck me as soon as I opened my eyes this morning.

As if it weren't enough that Christ died for me....He also lives for me!  He not only lives, but He takes an active part in my life.  He talks to His Father about me regularly.  : )

"Who is he that condemns?  Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."  (Romans 8:34)

Now, if that is not mind-blowing...then I don't know what is!

We can seek fame and honor our entire lives...and know many influential people in the process...but it is the Son of God, who is and was and who will forever be, who cares the most for us and who is actively taking part in the lives of those who belong to Him.

Who can ask for anything more?!

Even as amazing as that fact is, the scripture goes on...

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?" (v. 35)

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (vv.38-39)

Now THAT is SECURITY!  : )

**Hmmm...if only I can train my mind to remember such promises quickly when the "blues" hit!  I am very thankful that God always finds a way to remind me.  And it does seem that the recovery process is growing shorter after each time depression seeks to rob the joy from my heart.
Yes, I can see progress being made.  And that makes me SMILE.  : )
