I met a woman who had gone to WinterJam after their youth group had fed about a hundred homeless people before the concert. The impact on them left an emotional toll. There was a young man struggling with why others weren't seeing the need and meeting it. Why were we all standing in line for a Christian music concert when so many hungry people nearby?

There are MANY ministries available where a person looking to make a difference in this world can lend a helping hand. I know that it can be very frustrating when everyone is not on the same page as us. However, the life manual we’ve been given is a BIG BOOK...there are lots of pages...and a variety of ministries available through which we can choose to allow God to love people through us.

It’s not accurate (nor fair) to tell me I'm not working for the Lord because I'm not doing what you are doing or what you think I should do. I know what God has laid on my heart to do. THAT is what I am supposed to do. I could busy myself with all sorts of good things...many ministries...but if I don't do what He has told me to do...I am still being disobedient.

We each have to answer for what we have done with the lives we were given. No one else has to answer for you or me. No one else will get credit for what we've done, nor will they be punished for our actions or inactions. We are each responsible for our own decisions.

It's time to stop looking around at others, thinking up things for them to do to keep busy. It’s a good idea to have ideas ready for those who are stumped on what they can do and are searching for projects along that vein, but it’s not our job to assign them what we think God wants them to do. Instead, we each need to pick up the tasks that have been placed in front of us and move forward, always with the attitude of sharing the Love and Grace that our Heavenly Father gave so freely to us.

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Romans 12:3-8

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
~ 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
