Jealousy can strike anyone.
We must listen to the Lord’s wisdom:
Guard your heart
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Human jealousy breeds selfish anger & bitterness.
Many times we draw wrong conclusions because of our limited vision.
Embracing bitterness hardens our hearts and hinders our ability
to love and forgive.
“What about God’s jealousy?” you ask.
His ways are different from our ways.
God’s jealousy protects Truth.
God is omnipotent…He sees all, knows all.
He declares that He is a Jealous God and we are to worship no other.
“Do not worship any other god, for the LORD,
whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”
“They made him jealous with their foreign gods
and angered him with their detestable idols.”
“They made me jealous by what is no god and
angered me with their worthless idols.
I will make them envious by those who are not a people;
I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.”
He knows that there is no other who can compare to Him.
There is no other who can offer us the same measure of love that He offers.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe stands condemned already
because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again:
Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
