How can we know when we are yielding to the Lord?
One indicator is when we stop pointing fingers away from ourselves
and learn to examine our own struggles through His eyes of Truth.
When learning a lesson from the Lord—
we should seek to see the application for our own lives
before thinking of others who need might need the same instruction.
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye
and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?”
The Holy Spirit won’t convict us about the sin of others.
He convicts us about our own sin!
“You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
We are responsible for sharing what we have learned…
but we were never called to be someone else’s Holy Spirit.
