It’s time to snap out of the trance that
causes us to default to taking the easiest paths.

The habit of “going with the flow” may make life smoother in the short-term
but sometimes the consequences are too heavy.

Our world is on a fast track to destruction.
We cannot expect to be safe if we follow along with them.
There are many areas of life where this rings true…
but let’s just take food for one example:
Ordering by number is easier and faster than only choosing what you need.
However, what used to be extra large drink is now served as a medium.
Portion sizes are enormous in most places, contributing to our growing waistlines and crippling our physical and mental health.

Swimming against the flow is different—uncomfortable…
sometimes difficult…but necessary for physical, mental and spiritual health.

It’s too easy to go with the flow & grow larger
and unhealthier with everyone else.
We must pay attention.
We must take/make time to think about what we are doing.
It’s time to wake up to our own demise…before it’s too late to change it.

“The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down.”
Proverbs 21:20

“Do not work for food that spoils,
but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.  For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
John 6:27
