“CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?”
When we cannot hear God speak, there may be a reason.
He could be silent to draw us into a deeper understanding of Him.
Or sin in our lives may be affecting our ability to hear His voice.
If we cannot hear God speaking,
we must ask Him to reveal to us the reason why.
If sin is the cause of our deafness,
we will need the equivalent of spiritual Q-tips:
confession, repentance (turning away from sin),
and encouragement from fellow believers.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perserverance the race marked out for us.”
“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.”
1 Peter 3:7
“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today,
so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
