We each have a mission.
We know WHAT the mission is…
to share God’s love with the hurting world around us…
but we don’t always know exactly HOW our
particular mission will play out.
We don’t always know the plan God has for our lives,
but He is worthy of our complete trust.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Our future is not unsure…not subject to “fate”…God knows His plans for us.
Much of our future is “top secret” and
He informs us on a “need to know” basis.
His instructions are typically given one step at a time.
Each next step is given only after the last is obeyed.
We can make our plans, but must remain ready to change them,
if necessary, to follow the Lord’s guidance.
When our plans don’t work out as we anticipated,
who are we to question the Lord when He is the One in charge?
We must remember he is God Almighty…we are not.
“In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the LORD establishes their steps.”
