Purity is priceless treasure.

When purity is traded in for temporary pleasure often the results are
broken promises & broken hearts.

There is a way that appears to be right,
but in the end it leads to death.
Proverbs 14:12

Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman,
from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
who has left the partner of her youth
and ignored the covenant she made before God.
Surely her house leads down to death
and her paths to the spirits of the dead.
None who go to her return
or attain the paths of life.
Proverbs 2:16-19

Society sells sex like it’s a meaningless recreational activity.
God invented it to be a deep and loving connection between husband and wife.
It’s a model of the Groom/Bride relationship between Christ and the church.

The world’s path may seem “more fun” but
it often leads to death when sex is misused.
Physical death…disease, murder driven by jealousy, heartbroken suicides.
Death of marriages, relationships…those involve a similar mourning process.

God’s path may seem “less fun” from the world’s perspective
but following His guidelines leads to immeasurable treasure.
Safety from disease, secure marriage relationship,
secure home for family to grow, no need to compare previous
sexual experiences and wonder if you measure up to past partners.

No one would trade a million dollars for a happy meal toy.
No one would pay millions for a finger painted portrait of a stick figure.
Don’t trade in your purity for anything less
than the treasure that God intended for you.

Is someone pressuring you in the name of love?
Don’t be confused by the world’s murky definition of love.

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

True love will wait.
If it won’t wait…then it’s not true love and not worth your treasure.
