Today marks 3 months since our world was turned upside down.
Three families still have empty spaces their loved ones used to fill...in their homes...in their schedules...in their hearts.
That place in their hearts will never change, it will always belong to Sammie, Anna and Brady.
These families will never return to "normal" but somehow they will learn a new "normal" as they put one foot in front of the other each day.
The Laughlin, Gossett and McCarter families are on my mind today and always in my prayers. I know that God will heal their broken hearts...and give them strength, grace, and courage to continue their life race...ever inching toward that beautiful reunion day when they will hold their children in their arms again. I pray that in the meantime, they will find comfort and understanding as they continue the grieving process.
I heard this song before the accident...
but ever since October 8, 2009 it has become one that reminds me of the hope we have of seeing Anna again someday...
and it provides comfort for my aching heart.
I am dedicating it to those who still mourn.
In the perspective of eternity...our lives here are so very brief.
We will be there soon.
Save a place for us.
